Phyt's Romania Natural Cosmetics Brand Launch

This week I had the pleasure to participate in the launch of the famous French natural cosmetics company Phyt’s in Romania. I’m all about using the best ingredients nature has to offer for my skincare, body care and makeup. Being so close to the collections of products made me want to explore them even further. I got to dip my fingers in some of the gorgeous mineral makeup shades, I could have stayed there all day long, testing stuff, but I didn’t want to take up so much space.

Long before the term “holistic beauty” was coined, Phyt’s (launched in 1972) was ahead of the trend, delivering beauty products that are 100% natural, effective, safe to use, cruelty-free and certified organic. Phyt’s is a pioneer in organic, ethical and sustainable beauty. The active ingredients in their products are plant extracts and essential oils, skilfully combined with natural texturizers, moisturising and emulsifying agents.

Phyt's Natural Skincare Products

It was a joy for me to listen to the story of how this amazing brand came to be one of the most appreciated producers of natural cosmetics in Europe. They’ve been around longer than I have, that must mean the customers appreciate the values of Phyt’s cosmetics and the results of the products. I even got to talk to Mr Jerome Logre about sustainability practices when it comes to the beauty industry. I appreciate it when companies take the time to explain what they’re about and how consumers can benefit from using their products.

Phyt's Solaire SPF 50 Fluid

Talk of products, I received for reviewing purposes: Soin Hydra Protecteur (day moisturiser), Phyt’s Solaire Fluide Protecteur SPF 50, Gentle Intimate Gel and Stimulating Scrub, plus many samples of skincare products. You know how deep my love of skincare products is, I will write in-depth reviews of each product. So far, I’m enjoying the moisturiser and the intimate cleansing gel. I will be posting detailed reviews of each product after I get time to form an impression.

Pixi Beauty Rose Infused Collection Review

I never imagined I would enjoy the colour pink as much as I do. Back when I was younger, I was all about blue and black. When my passion for photography became more than a hobby, I became acquainted with the beauty of pastel colours. There is something aesthetically pleasing about the combination of light pink and green in Pixi Beauty packaging that makes photographing the products so enticing.

When the brand Pixi Beauty sent me their Rose Infused collection, I was overjoyed. Pixi Beauty sure knows how to tickle us bloggers. The skincare treats (as Pixi Beauty lovingly calls their products) were housed inside a pretty rose travel kit.

Now that I've had the time to test each and every product, I can tell you that I am pleased. The collection contains everything a skincare addict needs to keep their skin looking and feeling amazing. I am going to review each product in the order of my skincare routine: cleansing, toning, moisturising.

Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths with Chamomile, Grapeseed Oil and Rose are perfect for a first cleanse, especially when traveling. There are 10 wipes in each pack. The wipes contain a generous amount of lotion to remove even the most stubborn makeup. They did not irritate my skin.

Rose Cream Cleanser is by far my favourite product in the collection because it is super gentle on my delicate skin. The packaging is hygienic and practical. The cleanser has a pleasant beige-pink colour and a faint smell of chamomile and rose. It contains Aloe leaf juice, Diatomaceous Earth, Montmorillonite (two types of mud), Safflower Oil, Avocado Oil and many other precious ingredients that give it a soothing effect. I massage a pea sized amount of cleanser onto my damp skin for about a minute, then I rinse with warm water. The product does not foam. After rinsing, my skin feels smooth, clean, supple.

Rose Tonic helps balance the PH of the skin, minimise redness and hydrate. I apply a generous amount on a cotton pad, then I swipe it all over my face. It contains Damascus Rose Flower Water, Aloe Vera juice, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) and Chamomile extracts.

Rose Caviar Essence is another one of my ride-or-die skincare products. I love the packaging (I am a fan of clear packaging so I can see how much product is left, can you relate?) and I love the fact that a skincare essence that is packed with oils feels so nourishing and not oily on my already oily skin. The essence contains Macadamia Seed Oil, Bergamot Peel Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Oil (a type of Geranium), Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oi, Damascus Rose Oil which create a lovely scent. I love how easily it is absorbed by my skin, creating a base for the other skincare products.

Rose Ceramide Cream comes in a tin tube, which I find super cute. It's an intensive moisturiser that I enjoy using at night or on makeup-free days. Lately I've had plenty such days because my skin looks great. I have tried ceramides creams from other brands. This one feels more moisturizing and it smells like citrus fruit. It contains Grapefruit Peel Oil, Shea Butter, Bergamot Oil, Rosemary Oil, Damascus Rose Oil and probiotics for a balancing effect on the skin.

Rose Oil Blend contains Rosehip Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Geranium Oil, Damascus Rose Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil and Orange Peel Oil. That's plenty of oils as far as I'm concerned! The dropper allows me to dispense the needed amount of oil in a hygienic manner. I alternate between the Oil Blend and the Rose Ceramide Cream during evenings. It absorbs fairly quickly and it has such a pleasant scent! If you are sensitive to scents, please test the products on a patch before you commit to buying, because they are all scented.

Rose Flash Balm is my go-to makeup primer. Although it is suggested we can use it as a mask, I prefer using it either as a makeup primer or as an extra layer of matte hydration when I am not wearing makeup. It contains Rose Water, Tapioca Starch and Hamamelis Extract, which provide balanced hydration to oily skin. It's not hydrating enough for dry skin. I love the velvet feel of my skin after using the Rose Flash Balm.

Rose Glow Mist is a multi-tasking spray that smells great and refreshes the skin. It comes in a clear spray bottle. I just wish the mist was a bit finer. I shake it before use and I spritz my face liberally. The Glycerin content makes it an ideal makeup base or finishing spray. On occasion I use it as a toner. Other fabulous ingredients are: Olive Fruit Oil, Argan Oil, Safflower Seed Oil, Avocado Oil.

Makeup Fixing Mist contains Glycerin, Rose Water, Centella Asiatica Extract, Niacinamide and Soybean Ferment Extract for a skin-balancing effect. I love using it after my makeup routine is finished because it makes my face look less caked and more glowing, while extending the life of my makeup.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Are you using any of these products? I'd love to know your opinion about them. If not, which ones are you thinking of purchasing?
